Michael Wagener cartographies, collage, ongoing. In his irritating cartographies Michael Wagener reassembles the world. His collages show exceptional topographies: Circular shaped islands, lakes formed like a square – imaginary landscapes. The maps open fantastic spaces, for which new means of navigation have to be developed.

Michael Wagener lives and works in Frankfurt/Main. He organises and curates exhibitions and established the publishing house “Gutleut Verlag”. since many years the artist works at the reordering of the world. He reassembles maps and globes and constructs alternative geographies.
